“I’ve been very fortunate to have had both of my parents for as long as I have. They just celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary this past April and in their mid-nineties have lived in the home they’ve shared together for many years. Sadly, my father passed away in June. Following his death, it became clear that my mother could no longer stay at home alone. My mother is suffering with progressive dementia and needs 24/7 care.
